FAQ

Kitchen questions homeowners ask

A straightforward fit of an average kitchen often takes around one to two weeks once units and appliances are on site. Full renovations with layout changes, plastering or flooring take longer.

Either can work. Many people get quotes first so the fitter can advise on the layout and measure up, then order units. Tell trades in your post whether you have already bought anything.

Some kitchen fitters cover basic plumbing and electrics while others bring in specialist trades. Ask each quote what is included, and who will sign off any electrical or gas work.

Look for the scope of work, who supplies what, timings, payment stages and what is excluded, such as disposing of the old kitchen or making good the walls.
